Written by Josh on November 6, 2008 – 5:28 pm -I'm looking to buy a rod and annaspare that would be good for fishing for Tarpon. Moreover, what is good line to use, evidence of how many pounds and what kind of leader.

all made in Tarpon point lead, but the real business is to fly fishing for them. unless you Tarpon fishing should only buy a rod and annaspare that you can use as often for your type of fishing. The spinning rods will launch much further if you don 'fish of fly t. Use an auction of a piece of medium heavy foot with a 7-8 mid-sized to large roll that you can use any line 8 on top but to use the four foot head of Fluorocarbon from 20 pounds above tied with a knot of surgeons. You can 'bait heavy shooting t spook them on entry to the baitcasters are out.

proof of an average heavy spinning 81 / 2 to 20 feet of an lb.test a spinning reel combo perch? the combined `s? especially balanced match. and to launch pi? further. Go to `s.com / or saltwater or offshoreangler.com of. I would try the eighter Seaguar Fluorocarbon or 20 lb.test of Berkley. All answers can be found here even as the Tarpon fish.

There’s no one setup that’s better than the next. Just depends on what you are going for, the big ones or the little ones. Typical bigger type fish setups especially for “newer” tarpon fisherman tend to be 8 to 8 1/2 foot spinning setups, medium to heavy action, 20 (+) pound line. I personally prefer to go lighter, fish fights are longer especially on the larger fish, some like the fights to be over quicker and thus the heavier rods and reels.

I agree completely with the 7 '- 8' development of spinning with 20 pounds. aligned, but go head with a pi? Heavy flourocarbon of a coil and smooth with many ball bearings as you can afford.
