What rod and reel combo to use for fishing on the shore of a reservoir?

I want to buy my husband a rod / reel combo for our anniversary. but don 't know anything all about them. There is a park near provided us with a nice reservoir that can fish. i don 't know what kind of fish is in it or something. really appreciate all the advice about what kind of auction / coil to obtain and that format, and so on. I found a couple at the pro shop low that it seemed respectable but don 't know what the format to achieve and what type of line to buy, or if the pile is with it. (see who really are stupid about this kind of thing;)) Thanks for any help! The park is park of Yargo fortification in Georgia, it 's between Athens and Atlanta (much to Athens) … I have no idea what kind of fish is in the basin & water, don' t know if he "likes" to fish for something in particular. Thanks for the replies so far anyway! It helps a lot on possibly & I 'll know that the I' m who speaks just a little more when I buy so I don 't get completely hosed.

all the light of good quality? auction average work? well, just buy a reel to match the auction or obtain them already? united by something 4lb test line of 8lb test should work.

That depends on whether that should launch the bait of spinners then an auction and a coil of action of spinners? Good people call it a reel of the open front. But if it can even get a casting bait mainly for the sea fishing traina and deep. the type of line that you can buy? be c '? where they 6-10? All good color u want to buy. go nuts. good luck

Maybe ask your committed, perhaps he knows his stuff. walmart has good deals on combos coil of the auction. attacks with name brands like penn, the diawa, Shimano. has a coil that has already fostered? Aggiornila to a newer model.

Go with "action" average; on both. What? you want a medium-action rod and a reel of media activity. Buy both from the same supplier and should fit together nicely. Here 'place of S.A. with some great prices. You shouldn 't must spemnd pi? that about $ 40 each.

If you could tell which part of the country you are in, even the name of the park condition would be easier to respond to your question. If you could add that information could update this with a more precise answer a. Since we don 't know what kind of fish is in the reservoir, your best chance is to visit the local fishing store closest to the reservoir. This is going better than most chain stores because the small shops are usually directed to the customer. They will have information on the type of fish that tension there, the type of equipment needed including rods, reels, lures and reminders. You can get one from the storage chain as well. The only thing I'll have to look beyond that don 't sales of more expensive gear that you need. There is a difference between equipment, but unless they want to fly fish, you should fully power supply of your husband with everything you need for under $ 100 if the estimate is the type of issue. UPDATED: The waters in the park support the warm water species. This means that your husband is going to interfere sea bass, carp and panfish. This may or may understand the trout and other species. These statements come from what I can check in online. Sounds like your husband may go some way back to fishing, my recommendation about 6 feet, the rolling average of action that launches combined together with the line of proof from 8 or 10 pounds. If it is more experienced, you can go with a bait-casting combined with the same line of proof. You can go with brands such as Shakespeare (the ugly sticks are good, solid affordable auction) or Zebco. There are many other options also available for purchase
