The 6 1 / 2 to 7 'medium heavy spinning auction of the medium should do the trick. Abbinilo with an open front coil that can? hold 300 yds. Over 12-14 pounds. try mono. Selo sure to have a good, heavy duty strength of the coil.

There are too many methods of fishing for salmon in the river that it 's going to be hard to respond specifically to your question. You are going to be in a boat? stanchion? What method was going to use? stopper? spinners / spoons? bead? Eggs? It 'different ball game of S.A. the second that you 're doing. If you 're going to be on a boat, then most likely you' re going close, less bounce, or trawling. Throughout the method from a boat, your line is typically about 10-20lb on baitcaster and use of a (usually in a round-profile, low - but still your preference) coupled with a med from 7-8.5 ft or med / hvy auction estimated up to about 20 or 30lbs. That 's the typical match. For the methods of shore, the development is more preferred as the 6-17lb line coupled with an auction of 8.5-12ft as the same line category. The longer lengths (10-12ft) are more of the craft for fishing than anything else. Suggest an auction, if you 'with reference to a "beginner," that' so 8.5 or 9ft. As you progress, you 'll learn the value and estimate the longer lengths for fish monitoring. For shore fishing, it 'made a point of spinning or flipping s. If you 're fishing spinners / the spoon, then I' d say go with a spinning reel because it can throw much better than those reminders light most baitcasters can. Otherwise, I 'd say what you' re more experienced is good to attack a. If you re-ask your question with a little more specifics, I can try to help out a little more.

In Washington, we use a heavy pole, 8 'and roll coil rigid and leveled wind or the deep sea and the test line by 20 pounds. The head can be 8-12 pounds depends on the clarity of the water. If caught the big fish, the development should be FAIR. Do you need the power to salmon and keep your tips up.
